Discover Greece off-road – far from the crowds!
The route is 1300 km long, recommended for 9 days.
It can be used as the third part of our long Balkan route. The first part goes through Romania (RO5/PL), the second through Bulgaria (BG1/PL), and the fourth through Albania (AL2/PL).
Greece – the cradle of European civilization!
Most people associate it with ancient monuments and seaside resorts. But it is also a country full of natural beauty and diversity, offering great adventures for off-road enthusiasts.
Our route combines iconic tourist attractions that everyone should see with a journey through nature, with overnight stays on wild beaches or campsites by the sea and in the mountains. It guarantees unforgettable memories for years to come.
In most cases, it can be driven with a standard 4x4 vehicle. In bad weather, some sections may be difficult even for experienced teams, but in summer they are rare.
The route is divided into stages, each starting and ending at suggested overnight spots. We assumed camping with your own gear, but hotels or guesthouses are also possible.
The off-road route Greece GR1/PL is a guarantee of an unforgettable adventure!
It includes, among others: the ancient monuments of Thrace, the monastic peninsula of Athos, the historic village of Arena, Thessaloniki, the tomb of the Macedonian kings, Mount Olympus, and the extraordinary Meteora monasteries. Of course, there are also beautiful beaches by the warm sea…
